Swarovski hotfix crystals Round Pearl Cabochon (2080/4) in Crystal Electric Violet Ignite are flat back pearls where the reverse side of the pearl has been pre-coated with a heat-sensitive glue. Swarovski Cabochons have a smooth, rounded surface on one side and a flat back on the other. Instead of being cut with facets like a traditional crystal, cabochon pearls are polished into a domed shape. Cabochon pearls are commonly used in jewellery making, and are particularly popular in costume design.
