Ear wires are a common component in jewellery making, and are designed to attach to a bead or pendant as a way of creating earrings. These Sterling Silver (925) Shepherds Crook ear wires measuring 20mm in length consist of a long, curved wire that is inserted into the ear piercing, and a small loop or hook resembling a shepherds crook, at the end that holds the earring in place. The shape of the wire is reminiscent of a shepherd's crook, hence the name.
