Swarovski hotfix crystals Round (2000 Rose, 2038 Xilion & 2078 Xirius) in Jet AB are flat back crystals where the reverse side of the crystal has been pre-coated with a heat-sensitive glue. Jet AB is a black colour that is often associated with darkness, mystery, sophistication, and elegance. It is the absence of all visible light and is the darkest possible colour. Jet AB can have a powerful and dramatic impact when used in design, fashion, and other creative fields. It can also be a symbol of mourning, as it is traditionally worn at funerals in many cultures. The AB (Aurora Borealis) effect is an iridescent coating that covers the top of the crystal, making it shimmer like a rainbow. The base colour of the crystal can still be seen underneath but there is a noticeable pink and blue shine to it as it hits the light.
Swarovski hotfix flat back crystals are available in three types of cut: 2000 Rose Cut with 8 facets (SS3 and SS4); 2038 Xilion Rose Cut with 14 facets which optimises the light reflection of smaller sized crystals (SS5 to SS10); and 2078 Xirius Rose Cut with 16 facets and a unique star cut design which provides the ultimate brilliance (SS12 to SS48).
