Step 1

Create your design

Before staring your embroidery process it is important to map out where you want your crystals to go. You can either place the crystals onto the dress, or you can create a template on Canva (or a similar website).

Step 2

Prepare your crystals and tools

Place your crystals into dishes so that they are easily accessible. Prepare your needle and thread.

Step 3

Begin Embroidering

Start by ensuring your crystal is in the desired spot, then sew the crystal onto the dress.

Push the needle from the inside of the dress, through to the outside and through the hole in the crystal, then push the needle back through to the inside.

Make sure to tie off the back off the crystal and make sure to do this for each crystal you sew on. If not then your needlework on the inside of the dress will become messy and tangled.

Step 4

Final touches

To finish off your dress, add any extra crystals where you see fit!

You have now created your very own personalised dress. Try this design with different colours, beads or pearls to suit your unique style.
