Shoes are often one of the first things people notice when effort has been made to dress well for a special occasion. It could be a wedding, staff party or any glamorous event where everyone is dressing to impress. The shoes can be key to transforming an ensemble into a true show stopper and adding glistening Swarovski Crystals will make sure that you steal the show with every step you take!
Swarovski Crystals for the highest quality finish
The style of shoe you choose to embellish is entirely down to your personal taste. We have selected Swarovski flatback crystals in Golden Shadow onto a pair of gold high heeled court shoes. However, rhinestone embellishment can be spectacularly effective on Nike trainers, summer sandals or any shoe you would like to turn into you favourite pair of “twinkle toes”. The same basic embellishment method applies to all styles however you may need to change the type of glue you use depending on the fabric of the shoes you are bedazzling. If the surface is fabric we recommend the Ninja SuperTite Fusion Tac Adhesive that’s already featured in this guide, however if your shoes are shiny or have a leather texture we recommend resin glues such as CG500 and E6000 Plus. CG500 is better stiffer materials like the heel on a stiletto shoe, whereas E6000 Plus can grip to flexible rubbering surfaces perfect for embellishing Crocs or Wellington boots. The colour and shape of the Swarovski crystals you use are also entirely customisable and we encourage you to take the principles from this guide and apply them to your own wardrobe. Instructions
Step 1
Use the Ninja SuperTite Fusion Tack to cover a small section of the shoe with a very thin layer of glue in the design of your choice.
Step 2
Use the Magic Sorting Tray for storing the Swarovski crystals and use the Wax Picker Pen to pick up and place your crystals strategically onto the shoe. If filling a shape, it is best to start with the outline and work your way in.
Step 3
Allow the glue to dry.
