Throughout the Christmas season, sparkly festive jewellery is as much of a staple as school nativity plays and singing Christmas Carols! But if you want something extra special, why not craft your own hand made earrings this year? Elevate your festive look with high quality Serinity Beads and jewellery components that guarantee you will stand out against the jewellery found on the high street. When people ask you where you bought them, you can proudly say that you made them yourself!
Follow the jewellery making tutorial below and create these Festive Snowman Earrings with Serinity beads for the Christmas holidays. The joy of this craft project is how easy it is to complete, the design is simply assembled and the secret to its silhouette is the perfect combination of Serinity beads and sew on crystals that stack up to create the shape of a cute little snowman. The sizes and shapes are tried and tested; however you can customise the colour of Cube and Lochrose Crystals to change the colour scheme of the snowman’s top hat and scarf. We chose the classic red scarf and black top hat combination but there are plenty of possible variations so that you can make this project your own.

Step 1
Thread the crystals onto the headpin starting with one of the 5000 round beads, then the 3188 Lochrose in red, then the second 5000 Round bead, then the 3188 Lochrose in Jet and lastly the 5601 Cube bead. Use Round Nose Pliers to then bend the headpin just above the Cube bead into a small loop and cut off the rest of the wire with Side Cutters.
Step 2
Twist the loop open and thread on the Fishhook Ear wire, then twist the loop closed and repeat for the other earring. Be sure to always twist the loop and never pull the loop open as this will warp and weaken the metal.
