A trending craft over the last few Christmas seasons has been ribbon wrapped Christmas tree baubles covered in Preciosa Crystals and topped with a giant bow. Made famous by Instagram and Pinterest you can now recreate this festive trend yourself by following this simple craft tutorial.
This is considered an intermediate craft project because it uses the Ninja Superflex Resin Glue and this glue requires PPE because it can irritate the skin. This glue was chosen because it has a super-fast drying time compared to other resin glues, meaning this craft project can be completed in a single sitting, instead of waiting for the glue to dry before you can turn the bauble over to do the other side. Instructions
Step 1
Wrap the ribbon around the bauble and glue into place, you can attach the bow separately with a separate dot of glue at the end. Take care with the Ninja Superflex as it might seep through the ribbon and could irritate if it touches your bare skin, so gloves are recommended. The quick drying time as well as the versatility of the Superflex makes it perfect for working on spherical shapes like baubles and gluing many different types of material.
Step 2
Trim the Preciosa Crystals Cup Chain with the Side Cutters so that they wrap once around the bauble.
Step 3
Using the Ninja Superflex Syringe draw a line of glue along the ribbon all the way around the bauble and press the cup chain down onto the glue. Hold the cup chain in place a few moments until the glue has set. Take care to avoid touching the glue with your bare skin.
Step 2
Repeat the above process until you have achieved your desired look.
