Flat nose pliers have flat, rectangular jaws that are used to grip and hold jewellery components such as wire, jump rings, and clasps. They are commonly used for creating sharp bends and right angles in wire, as well as for straightening and flattening wire. They are also useful for opening and closing jump rings, manipulating chain links, and holding components in place while other techniques are applied. The flat jaws of the pliers provide a larger surface area for gripping, which helps to prevent damage to the jewellery components.
