Preciosa pearls Round Half Drilled in Navy Blue have a crystal ball core with a silky smooth coating, giving them the appearance of cultivated pearls. Preciosa Round Half Drilled pearls are pearls with a thread hole that is drilled only halfway to the centre point, rather than all the way through. This type of hole is designed to be used with a little glue to attach the pearl to a finding, such as an ear stud or jewellery wire, which conceals the fitting. Because of this design, half drilled pearls are ideal for making stud earrings and tiaras, where the pearl is required to sit flat against a surface without any visible fittings. The half drilled hole allows for secure and precise placement of the pearl, creating a polished and elegant finished look.
