Instructions
Step 1
Thread the beads.
Thread the beads onto the headpin starting with a largest 12mm disco ball bead, followed by the 10mm, then the 8mm and finally the 6mm so that they stack up into a smooth cone of beads that should vaguely resemble a snow man without accessories.
Step 2
Create the loop at the top.
Use Chain Nose Pliers to bend the head pin at a 90-degree angle just above the beads, this will secure them in place and prevent the beads from sliding off the end. Then use Round Nose Pliers to bend the headpin back on itself to create a small loop and cut off the rest of the wire with Side Cutters. This completes the disco ball bead pendant and at this point it could be attached to an ear wire to create an earring or threaded onto a chain to become a necklace.
Step 3
Thread onto the Snake Chain.
For this design we have chosen a silver plated snake chain for it’s smooth and sleek appearance. You will also find the loop at the end of this style of chain is quite small and will easily slip through the loop you have created on your pendant. If you choose a different style of chain, it is worth being aware of the size of the clasp and jump ring used on the chain as your handmade loop will need to be big enough for the chain to slot through.
