Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the glue

Fill the Syringe with enough SuperTite Fusion Tack Glue for your project, be careful to not take more glue than you need. The easiest way to do this is to remove the plunger from the back of the syringe and then slowly squeeze the glue into the tube, so that the glue gently runs down one side without covering the opening at the other end. It is important that air can pass out the other end without affecting the glue inside at this stage. Then reinsert the plunger as carefully as you can – you will face resistance because the seal needs to be airtight, the plunger is successfully reattached when you hear it pop into place.

Step 2

Guard against air bubbles in the glue syringe

Once the plunger is securely back in, you are likely to have a section of air inside the syringe. To fix this simply hold the syringe vertically so that the glue slides down away from the opening at the top and gently push on the plunger, pushing the air out until there is only glue left inside. You can then attach the needle tip, completing the syringe.

Step 3

Apply Glue to the setting

Use a gentle amount of pressure on the syringe to carefully apply a thin layer to the inside of the sterling silver flower pendant setting. Take care to not put too much glue otherwise it will squeeze out around the edges.  

Step 4

Place the crystals

When the glue is tacky, use the Preciosa Tweezers to drop the Baroque Pear Fancy Stone into the setting, it should sit smoothly in the cavity. If the crystal drops in at an odd angle use the tweezers to nudge the crystal until it sits flush inside the setting and do this for all of the petals and then allow the glue to fully dry.

Step 5

Attach the ear wire

Using a combination of the round nose and chain nose pliers, gently twist open the loop at the bottom of the Fishhook Ear wire, then thread the flower pendant onto the opened loop. Be sure to always twist the loops open and closed and never pull them open as that will make the loop more likely to break in the future.

Step 6

Create a matching pair

Repeat steps 1 to 5 to create the second flower pendant earring and complete the set.
