Instructions

Step 1

Opening a jump ring

To open a jump ring, grip it with two pairs of pliers, twist in opposite directions to create an opening.

Top Tip - Be careful not to scratch the crystal as you do this, always use a jump ring that fits through the hole easily, allowing for movement.

Step 2

Threading the pendant

Hold the heart pendant with your fingers and gently loop the opened jump ring through the hole on the top of the crystal.

Step 3

Attaching the eye pin

While the jump ring is still open, loop the eye pin onto the jump ring as well.

Step 4

Close your jump ring

Carefully close the jump ring by twisting the ends back together.

Step 5

Threading seed beads

Now that the pendant is securely attached to the eye pin you can start to thread the seedbeds on to the open end of the eye pin.

Top Tip - Get creative and personalise the colours of seed beads used; you can even alternate the colour to create a stripe effect.

Step 6

Create a loop on the end

1.5cm away from the end of the wire, use the chain nose pliers to bend it to a 90-degree angle and then use the round nose pliers to coil that 1cm of wire back on itself, creating a loop.

Step 7

Attaching the ear wires

Gently open the loop on the ear wire, insert the loop of the beaded component, and securely close the loop with pliers. Check for security by giving the earrings a gentle tug and trim any excess wire if needed.

Step 8

Create a matching pair

Repeat steps 1 to 7 to create the second Heart drop earring and complete the set.
