To create the tightly packed, high impact effect of those perfectly straight horizontal lines, we used the honeycomb embellishment technique and relied upon the straight raised banding, already present on the clutch purse as a guide to build the design. This method requires concentric lines, however the crystals of the second row will nestle into the spaces between the crystals of the previous line leaving no gaps. This creates the honeycomb effect and is great for straight lines and shapes like squares and rectangles. If the shape is in anyway irregular, you will find that at some point the honeycomb will no longer line up and you may have to improvise to maintain the flow.
