Step 1
Gather your supplies
Gather you supplies and begin by trimming your Brass wire using the Side cutter pliers from the set of 3, to the length needed. We trimmed off 10cm for each earring.
Step 2
Attaching the wire to the rice pearls
Start by threading your Swarovski Crystals 5824 Rice Pearl 4mm Crystal Cream on to one end of the wire, leaving 5mm on one end. Wrap the end of your wire back on itself using the round nose head pliers as if creating a loop. Using the chain pliers from the Jewellery Set of 3, squeeze this loop flat. Thread on another rice pearl on the same wire leaving 1cm distance between the two pearls. In the middle cm gap, using your pliers bend the wire downwards so both pearls sit at a 90-degree angle from each other. Create another flat loop after your newly threaded rice pearl, trim excess and squeeze flat. Create another set of 2 pearls.
Step 3
Shaping the flower
Grab both sets of wires with pearls on, and interlock these so the middle 90-degree angles sit flush against each other. Hold one of the sets in place using your fingers, between the thumb and index finger and with your other hand grab the second set that is interlocked and twist clockwise so to secure this shape into place. Feel free to adapt a more comfortable position if needed.
Step 4
Adding the final rice pearl petal
Once your 4 petals are secured together, on the leftover wire create a loop with your round nose head pliers, leaving it slightly open as to be able to attach it to the chain in the next step. Thread on another rice pearl so it sits flush against the loop, with the remaining wire wrap tice around the middle base of the interlocked petals. Trim off the excess and bend the rice pearl into place.
Step 5
Secure the flower to the chain
Once you have secured the petals together, trim your chain to 5cm in length using the side cutter pliers. Next secure the top loop from the pearl flower onto the bottom loop of the chain. Attach the top loop of your chain into the loop of the Gold-Plated Post & Scroll Earwires. Repeat all steps to create your second earring and you have a new pair of pearl earrings!
And there you have it – your very own homemade gold chain drop Swarovski pearl flower earrings. Not only are these earrings a stylish addition to your jewellery collection, but they also make for a thoughtful and personalized gift for friends and family.
